About
Taylor's Nest Eggs and Poultry farm started by a nine year old child- Taylor. We live in the heart of salmon fishing and dog mushing yet it was the excitement of hatching out chickens that got his fancy.
In the years that followed we have enlarged the farm and chicken coop. What a joy it is to see the birds all over the area.
It is very hard work to raise the birds but the hard work will aid in turning our son in to a man. He is still under 18 so I have to legally be in charge. This has been the greatest way for him to learn.
We plan on planting one new crop a year.
We our in year 3 of what we call our 20 year plan. We are raising chickens, geese, duck, guinnies, turkey, and seasonal produce. We have enlarged the fields for the free ranging birds. Oats, clover, rye grass, wheat, flax, and buckwheat are just some of what grows for the birds.
We are near the Kasilof River (It is just across the road)
