About
DauerWalden is a conservation community created by the owner on a fourth generation family farm. We have just a few lots (25 total) for residents who want a rural homestead close to nature but within a short commute to town (5 miles) and the city (less than 30 minutes). Of the 1150 acres on the farm, about 400 are currently in conservation easements; our goal is to protect over 1000 acres. We will essentially live in a private park.
The farm ofers farm tours for all ages, and we also raise a huge variety of fowl, cattle, horses, goats, and other animals. Our cattle are heritage breed Scottish Highlanders; the horses are TN Walkers. We have eggs year round, many farm products in season, curently have a large organic garden to share with residents. We are planning a CSA for the community.
