About

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering CSA style shares of our production gardens. As with typical CSAs, members will receive regular deliveries of a variety of produce at a prearranged pick-up location. Members will receive their share every other week from mid June through mid October.

What You Will Get: Members will receive a delivery of produce every two weeks. Share pick-up dates, locations and times will be arranged upon enrollment. A delivery will typically contain a seasonal mix of 8 to 10 different items of produce (greens, tomatoes, herbs, root vegetables, onions, garlic, squashes, fruit, etc.). Produce is grown to organic standards, but is not certified organic. Each delivery will weigh approximately 6 to 10 pounds and arrive in a standard size grocery bag. A list of bag contents, suggestions for use and recipes are also included. The recipes are specific to the contents of that delivery and have been developed by chef Stephen Larson at our cooking school. As a treat, we may include special homemade goodies from time to time in your delivery. A listing of share contents for upcoming deliveries will soon be available on our website.

The Cost: The cost per share is $320 a year for 10 deliveries of produce. The entire share cost is paid in advance. We have chosen to deliver shares on an every other week schedule to reduce share cost and ensure that members are able to use all the produce they receive. We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover in addition to personal checks.

How We Are Different: The selection of plants grown for the Gardenroad CSA reflects our commitment to quality, diversity and usability. As our gardens also provide the same produce for the Gardenroad Cooking School, we have purposely chosen varieties that are out of the ordinary, yet integrate well into everyday cooking. To keep things interesting, we will periodically include treats like fresh duck eggs, dried herbal teas and goodies from our kitchen.
