About
Within a few years out farmland was certified organic and we noticed many benefits. The soil, once lumpy and hard, was becoming soft and mellow. We were able to pull larger machinery, yet burn less fuel - we attributed this to the presence of organic matter, the beneficial micro-organisms working in the soil. Now in spring there is an more earthy, fresh smell to the land.
We have always been interested in operating our own family business. In 2007 we were presented with an opportunity to buy an organic processing mill. After some serious thought, this idea firmly took root. Operating a mill corresponds with our dedication to growing organic foods and adding value to our home grown products.
It is our goal and desire to provide quality organic products to Canadians, while at the same time sustaining a century old family farm and the family farm way of life.
