Located in the heart of downtown Kirkwood, a thriving business district with 300+ local businesses, the market serves as a cornerstone for the community as a place to eat, shop and gather with friends. The Market was founded in 1976 as a bicentennial project by the City of Kirkwood. The market is owned by the City of Kirkwood and administered by the city appointed Farmers' Market Committee and the Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District.
