Produce

This is customer commentary from the Eatwell site: I got a red delicious apple at the Berkeley supermarket last week, which I cut up and put in her school lunchbox. The apple was barely touched, and I asked her why. She said it was too soft and didn't taste good. I tried it and agreed - the Fuji apples we've been getting from you and at the Farmer's Market are so much better. I'll take those red "delicious" ones off the list.

Don't you agree? Rate a Fuji Apple from Eatwell Farms and let us know!

Preferred Storage Conditions:

Temperature range: 32-40 degrees F

Humidity level for storage: 80-90% humidity

How to store: the fridge is the best place for these if you are not going to eat them within the next four or five days. Keep away from leeks, onions, or garlics in the fridge! If you eat them soon and don't want to eat 'em cold, it's fine to keep them on the counter.

Pros: The taste
Cons: Apparently ya gotta come to California to get 'em

We always used to say California was the land of fruits and nuts, well these fruits ya''ll have are delicious. Look, I was born on the island of Galveston, I'm used to eatin' like a Texan (even got an eatin' suit). These apples are as filling for me as a Texas style steak, but don't be tellin' none of my friends that. One of these days I'll get round to coming again. The apples are worth it.
