BLACK AND BROWN BOAR: One of my first varieties.
Great flavor, dark earthy tones of rich tomato.
Discovered in Green Zebra patch years about ten years ago. This looks like a Black Zebra, slightly larger with some lobes.
Grower Comments
Mid-early to early. 65-75 days. Indet. regular leaf. Pumps out 3-4" fruit like crazy. Aggressive grower and producer. Origin-Green Zebra= Thanks again Tom Wagner.

Pros:
Trust me, you've never had a tomato taste like this
Cons:
The look of the outside. Kinda intimidating at first to me, I mean, it looked alien to me.

When I first saw these I was a little taken aback. I mean, the outside looks like some crazy gourd my mom would have out as a Thanksgiving decoration. But the taste, OMG, you have to try it. Most of us are used to the crisp but bland tomatoes that you get on a burger or thrown in a salad. These tomatoes aren't those. These are the tomatoes that other tomatoes wish they were 'cause they taste so fresh and they feel like they came from some amazing gardener.
