About

We are a small Market Grower in Northern Aitkin County. We use organic methods of farming, but are exempt from organic certification as we are small. We have a variety of vegetables available starting in late June with gourmet lettuces and snap peas. Tomatoes, peppers, squash, Chinese vegetables, cabbage, broccoli, beans, potatoes, onions and cauliflower available starting in mid to late July, through the end of September. Most of our vegetable varieties are either Heirloom or rare varieties. We experiment with new varieties each year taking into account color, texture, taste, yields and disease resistance. We use organic seed when available and do not use genetically altered seed ever You will receive a 1/2 bushel box of vegetables for standard share, 1/4 bushel box of vegetables for 1/2 share and 3/4 to 1 bushel box of vegetables for Large Share, starting mid June and generally going through about mid October. Your box will include what ever is in season and will change throughout the summer, but we strive to give you good variety and value for your dollar. Boxes are less full in the Spring and more full in the Fall, as this is Northern Minnesota you know! At the end of the season and depending on the harvest, we will provide a few winter squash and at least an additional 10 to 15 pounds of potatoes for winter storage in the standard share, less for the 1/2 share, more for the large share. We are hoping to also have onions, rutabaga, turnip and cabbage available for this storage delivery.
