About
Redwood Roots Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm located on four acres of prime agricultural soil along the Jacoby Creek flood plain in Bayside. The land in production is part of a ten-acre parcel that is under a conservation easement held by the Jacoby Creek Land Trust. The easement ensures that the upper four acres are reserved for an organic farm and that the lower six acres remain a natural riparian habitat.
The farm produces a diversity of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and berries that are distributed to CSA shareholders, sold at Arcata Plaza Farmers Market, and marketed to a handful of local restaurants. Redwood Roots farm is also dedicated to serving as a hands-on learning environment, and offers a variety of education and outreach programs to the public.
