The farm is located on the northern edge of busy Waldorf, in Charles County, Maryland. Just out of earshot of bumper to bumper commuter traffic on US 301. The Farm is open to the public in the spring for pick your own strawberries and greenhouse flowers and bedding plants. In the fall the farm offers mums seasonal vegetables pumpkin picking and hay rides. Pick-your-own and pre-picked strawberries are available. Greenhouses with hanging baskets, porch pots and bedding plants. The Shlagel's specialize in vegetable production selling wholesale to Washington area chain stores. They also raise quality hay for the pleasure horse trade, as well as field corn and soybeans to feed their herd of Angus beef cattle. They open the farm to the public in spring so you may enjoy a day in the country relaxing with family and picking strawberries and again in the Fall for pumpkin picking and hay rides.
