About
We are a local, small family operated farm. We, Proeun and Amy Doeun, began as a young professional couple living in St. Paul. But as our children arrived we knew we wanted to move from a urban setting, back to the land. Both of us have farming is our backgrounds. Amy comes from "good hearty farmstock" of western Minnesota, while Proeun was born in the jungles of Cambodia where his parents literally lived off the land. It is an interesting story how we came together to create a family, farm and way of life we love.
We grow certified organic heirloom vegetables for CSA market and local farmer's markets and restaurants. We are working to continually expand our offerings to meet our customer's needs.
Our season begins mid-June and runs for approximately 18 weeks until mid-October.
Each week we provide you with a box of only the freshest, in season, certified organic produce. We try to vary the offerings weekly and include items you are familiar with as well as interesting and exciting heirloom varieties including items from the Slow Food USA "Ark of Taste.". Boxes vary by season and may include-- Early season box---radishes, sweet peas, spring onions, lettuce, Asian green and herbs. Mid Season box---green beans, zucchini, green peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, carrots, beets and turnips. Late Season box---squash, cabbage, storage onions, carrots and fall greens.
Where are the drop sites? Eastside of St. Paul--35E and Maryland South Maplewood/Woodbury Roseville If you are interested in a drop site not on this list let us know.
Each month you will receive a newsletter sharing recipes and what is going on at the farm week by week.
If you feel one box of produce is not enough for you ask us about our 2 for 1 deal. With a minimum of 1 hour a week volunteer work you can receive 2 boxes for the price of one.
